SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $65,000 FLSA: EXEMPT
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director - Application Programming
SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/12-month position/PEERS
Position Summary
The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions. This position collaborates with key stakeholders to define functional requirements, ensure alignment with business objectives, and document best practices for effective implementation. This position will support the college’s CRM team through development and configuration work within the Salesforce/TargetX environment. The work will include improvements to the CRM as well as operational maintenance work to meet the needs of end users. The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple priorities, has a strong understanding of data flow across business processes, and works closely with IT teams and system stakeholders to drive informed decisions that enhance enterprise technology systems.
Essential Job Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
- Gather, document, and analyze business processes, workflows, and systems.
- Responsible for identifying gaps between enterprise system functionality and organization policy/regulatory requirements, then recommending solutions.
- Work in close collaboration with developers in testing functionality of enhancements and/or modifications.
- Assist in the preparation of relevant training materials and process change documentation.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on new systems or new features in existing systems.
- Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and provide new processes if required.
- Assist in the configuration of assigned systems where applicable.
- Collaborate with software vendors to correct reporting, software, and data issues.
- Perform other project-related duties or functions as needed when critical to business function.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Comply with college policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions and community events and serving on committees.
Non-Essential Job Duties
- Prepare database inquiries as requested by management. Deliver requested reports, including ad hoc reports.
- Facilitate changes in business processes by communicating proposed changes to relevant employees, gathering and analyzing feedback, and incorporating insights before finalizing processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, communications, information technology, or other related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning or two years of relevant work experience.
- The ability to make good decisions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to present material in written form that is understandable to the technical and non-technical reader.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, information technology, or other related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning or four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with business analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, Excel macros, Informer.
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce or TargetX.
- Experience with Colleague.
- Experience working within a collegiate setting.
