JOB TITLE:  PART-TIME ASSISTANT MANAGER OF OTC ESPORTS                              DEPARTMENT:  STUDENT AFFAIRS

HOURLY RANGE: $15.00 – $22.00/HOURLY                                                           FLSA:  NON-EXEMPT

 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Director of OTC Esports

 

SCHEDULE DETAILS: Part–time, 19.5 hours (Office hours will be between 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Friday). Flexibility to work any shift within these hours is required. Occasional evening and weekend work are also required. 12-month position.

 

Position Summary

The esports arena manager is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the OTC Esports Arena, assisting with practices and competitions as well as performing other duties as assigned by the Manager of OTC eSports. The essential functions of this position require a physical presence onsite.

 

Essential Job Duties 

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the OTC Esports arena on the Springfield campus.
  • Maintain accurate records of arena usage
  • Ensure the responsible usage of the OTC eSports arena equipment
  • Serve as an engaging and inclusive host during esports programming as well as varsity/club practices/competitions.
  • Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the college system involved in OTC Esports operations
  • Foster an environment of sportsmanship and accountability
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality
  • Comply with college policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • General and basic knowledge of esports
  • Fundamental knowledge of PC Software and Gaming Hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all constituencies of a diverse college community
  • Attention to detail, responsible and task-oriented
  • Ability to work a flexible

Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Experience competing in formal esports competitions
  • Experience in video editing, preferably for gaming-related videos
  • Experience in shout casting or game commentary
  • Experience working in a collegiate setting
