DEPARTMENT: STRATEGIC PLANNING & GRANTS

SALARY RANGE: $48,000-$55,000

SCHEDULE DETAILS:  Full-time/12 month position/This is grant-funded with a limited term appointment.

 

Program Summary

rootEd Missouri is a statewide initiative designed to improve postsecondary outcomes for students from Missouri’s rural communities. rootEd will support districts' dedicated college and career advisors through a partnership with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Through this partnership, advisors are placed in rural Missouri high schools. These advisors work alongside school counselors and district leadership to ensure every student graduates with a postsecondary plan and to grow the number of students that enroll in a postsecondary option.  

 

The Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC), sponsored by rootEd, will work with DESE to set the vision and direction of this program, provide training and ongoing support to school-based advisors, collect data to evaluate the success of the program and build and execute a growth strategy. 

Position Summary

The Data Coordinator is responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining rootEd Missouri’s data systems (collection, analysis, and reporting), ensuring high quality throughout. The Data Coordinator also serves as a support to program stakeholders, helping train on the project’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, troubleshooting data challenges, and partnering on program evaluation. The Data Coordinator will report to and work closely with the Director of Operations.

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Administer data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Develop and support the implementation and ongoing data management of the program’s customer relationship management (CRM) software and its programmatic dashboards.
  • Prepare reports to summarize program outcomes, promote learning, establish tools and resources for ongoing use, and fulfill grant requirements.
  • Respond to data requests and troubleshoot data challenges from program stakeholders
  • Provide professional development opportunities to program staff and stakeholders, including training on the CRM and ongoing utilization of research and data.
  • Perform analytical studies to support the goals and functions of rootEd Missouri programs and services.
  • Coordinate local and externally developed surveys including the analysis of data and distribution of results.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to program staff and stakeholders on the CRM and utilizing available research and data.
  • Complete required federal, state, and external agency reporting.
  • Develop and maintain databases and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI reports.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with college policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees and attending community events. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, computer information sciences, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Experience supporting the implementation and maintenance of a CRM.
  • Two years’ experience analyzing data and utilizing creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Understanding and experience with PowerBI.

 

Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience working in higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting professional development related to research and data.   
  • Experience working with Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated experience working with statistical analysis software (such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, or R).
  • Experience with relational databases and/or SQL language.
  • Experience working within a collegiate setting.
