SCHEDULE DETAILS:  Full-time/12-month position/PEERS  

 

Position Summary 

The Recruiter assists with developing and implementing strategies to attract and enroll prospective students. This enthusiastic and dynamic recruiter will play a vital role in representing Ozarks Technical Community College. This role involves traveling to high schools, college fairs, and other recruitment events, as well as on-campus events to assist students through their decision-making journey. The recruiter serves as a key representative of the institution and works collaboratively with staff, faculty, and administration to meet enrollment goals. The successful candidate will promote awareness of academic programs, student success services, engagement opportunities, and career pathways to students, school counselors, and other area stakeholders. This position requires extensive travel, excellent communication skills, and a passion for higher education.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Represent the college at schools, fairs, and community events to promote enrollment.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual presentations on academic programs, student life, financial aid, and admissions.
  • Proactively guide prospective students through the admissions process, from pre-inquiry to orientation.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and school counselors to support recruitment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned prospective students through the admissions funnel.
  • Plan and execute on-campus and virtual recruitment events.
  • Track and report student engagement using the college CRM; assist with communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure prospective students receive timely, relevant information.
  • Promote the college’s mission, values, and brand consistently in all outreach efforts.
  • Meet recruitment goals and identify areas for growth within assigned territories.
  • Provide impactful campus visit experiences and support high school and adult learner recruitment.
  • Analyze performance data to improve recruitment strategies and participate in strategic planning initiatives. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.  
  • One year of customer service experience. 
  • Exceptional organizational and relational skills. 
  • Outgoing and engaging personality. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via email, phone, video chat, text
  •  messaging, or in a public speaking setting. 
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision. 
  • Ability to work as a team player 
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer operations, and the ability to learn and adapt to new software and tracking tools. 
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, which will include evenings, weekends, and overnight stays during recruiting season
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.   

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. 
  • Graduate of Ozarks Technical Community College. 
  • Experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with academic, financial aid, or career planning. 
  • A demonstrated value of teamwork and collaboration. 
  • Experience working within a collegiate setting. 
  • Experience with TargetX.
